"Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations." - Psalm 100:4-5
Why We Gather to Worship
First, we gather to worship because God is worthy. In fact, the word worship comes from the word worthy. God is so good that we want to focus on and enjoy His goodness. He is gracious, merciful, loving, faithful, just, all-powerful, all-knowing, perfectly wise, ever present, triune, and eternal.
Second, we gather for worship because He created us. In fact, He created mankind in a very special way; He created us in His image (Genesis 1:26-27). Every human bears God's image and therefore is meant to bring glory to God by reflecting that image. Our every action should be done in such a way to express God's glory. He made us to be creative, intelligent, relational, moral beings who are capable for caring for His creation. Gathering for worship is an important part of giving praise to our Creator.
Third, we gather for worship because He saves us. All mankind has fallen into sin and is separated from God because of our sins. We stand eternally condemned before the Eternal Judge. Yet, God, in His great love made a way to save us that was very costly to Himself. God the Father sent God the Son to rescue those who would surrender to Him as Lord and Savior in faith (John 3:16). God the Son died in our place on the cross. On the third day, Jesus rose from the grave and will one day come again. God the Father and God the Son send God the Holy Spirit into the hearts of everyone who trusts in God the Son so that the believer is forgiven and cleansed of sin, promised eternal life with God, and begins to desire to live obediently for God (Ezekiel 36:24-27).
Fourth, we gather for worship because God commands us to do so. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near." Knowing that there are many distractions that keep our hearts from focusing on God, we gather together to help each other refocus so that we will be ready when King Jesus returns.
Fifth, we gather together because it is the example of the early church. Acts 2 describes what happened on the day the church began. "So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." - Acts 2:41-42. Once someone is saved, it is appropriate for them to join a local church through baptism. Then, as members of a local church, they meet together to study the Apostle's teaching (that is the Bible), to fellowship, to celebrate Lord's Supper, and to pray.

What to Expect at a Worship Gathering
When you enter our doors, you will be greeted warmly. If you have any questions, just ask our friendly greeters and they will be happy to assist you. If you are a first-time guest, please ask for one of our gift bags.
For those with limited mobility, we have both an elevator and a ramp to help you enter our facilities. For those with infants, we have a nursery downstairs staffed by caring volunteers. Just ask one of our greeters to show you the way. For those with young children, we have children's church which will begin downstairs part way through our worship gathering.
Feel free to sit anywhere in our worship center. We have two columns of pews on the main floor and our balcony can be accessed by the stair case immediately to the left once you enter the front doors.
Our service will begin with prayer and announcements of upcoming events. We have a time of worship through music led by our gifted choir. Then, we will spend a few moments in prayer for those in need, take up offerings, and usually have some type of special music. Once we have prepared our hearts, we have a message from God's Word. We are committed to having Biblically-based, Christ-centerd, Spirit-led preaching. When the message is finishing, everyone is invited to respond to God's Word. You are welcome to pray quietly in your pew or you may come forward and ask for our pastor or deacons to pray with you.
Ways to Serve in Our Worship Gatherings
Choir The choir is the primary leader of music in the morning worship service. Special music presentations are performed at Christmas and Easter. Our goal is to glorify God with praise through our music and create a worshipful atmosphere in our congregation. Ushers Our ushers help by taking up Sunday morning tithes and offerings and praying for God's guidance in how we use those gifts to the Lord. Parking/Greeters With limited parking, our parking/greeter team helps us make the most of our space. They guide us into parking spots, they greet us warmly, and they are more than willing to answer any questions you may have. Nursery and Children's Church workers After appropriate screening, our nursery and children's church workers care for our infants and young children on rotations during the worship service. Special Music In our Sunday morning worship services, we usually have someone sing a special to encourage us in trusting and following the Lord.
